Possible State Record Brown Trout, from MI

Who says we dont have no big browns in Lake Michigan, this fish weighed 36lbs 13ounces and sported a 27.5inch girth and measured
43" long....What a monster !!!!!!!!

Congratulations!

You'll never ever hear me say that. My biggest out of there was 16.5-lbs on a noodle rod in 1989.

Was this one taken trolling or light tackle?

Legend that fish was caught out trolling, but none the less a huge fish. 16.5 is a good sized brown, congrats !!!

I caught one out of a Lake Huron trib that weighed just a little under 19 lbs, while i was river fishing (steelheading) and i caught that on light tackle(8lb main line 4lb leader) and that one is on the wall.....
