Razor Clams

Anybody got a use for theses things. The beach near my house is loaded with them. Could probably fill a bucket in an hour or so.

So what are the preferred receipies?
I have dug them up and used them for chum. They seem like they would be tough and stringy. With that long foot and all.
The other question is about the cleanliness of the water. I would probably avoid them in the summer when everyones septic is overflowing from the renters. Now might be safe though.:confused1:

Bry, my Dad always said they were delicious and regretted that you couldn't find them any more. I never asked him how to cook them. I wonder if the DEP would be interested to know that you have found some? Did you put a deposit on that 33 footer yet?

I'm waiting for contract renegotiations. You know, when we start making the big bucks.

About the razor clams, they have always been there, since I was a kid back in the 70's.
