That is an aawesome trip, and an excellent report of your venture. I'm liking that Hammerhead pic...may be heading for POM...or the big bull mahi.

Very nice assortment of fish. Islamorada is something else. I can't wait to fish there again. Enjoy your mahi.

Fished the upper keys May 7-10, stayed at the Mariners Club in Key Largo. No trip to the Keys is complete without the trip to Lazy Days for some of the best eats down there.

Two day tally, (1) Bonefish, (3) Bonnett Head sharks, (1) Nurse shark. Missed opportunities on Tarpon and nice size Permit. The fish were very spooky. Sure beats workin'.

Sorry I missed your visit to Islamorada. Just returned from the Bahamas. Glad to hear that you had some good fishing. It was windy the whole time we were there and we spent 7 days in a marina in Marsh Harbor. I think I would have been better off (fish wise) staying at home.

Great report Curt. I wish we were so lucky to be able to be off-shore with a 6-25 mile run out to the reef or the hump.

I've fished with Luis on the Cha-Cha and he is a hardcore fisherman. No-one put more time in than him. A Ball busta to boot.

Bill on the Sachem is also a great guy and what a boat. Beautiful to say the least. We hooked/landed a sail in the sand(15' deep) sight fishing for cobia. What a blast.

Hope to get down there again this winter - seeing those photos makes me wish it was February.
