Jacksonville ?

I possibly might have to relocate to the area for work. What is the inshore and offshore fishing like down there. It would be tough to leave my beloved stripers behind.

Todd,
King Mack, Mahi and Bill Fish are where its at from Jacksonvill south. The Bill Fishing is best further south. Off shore they do a bit of sword fishing and tuna fishing. The Tuna trips are a LONG way out, most trips are over nighters.

Thats exactly it.
My best friend relocated there 15 years ago and has been trying to get me to move down there with my family. What part of Jax are you going to?
Jax beach is very nice. Very good fishing there. The piers do very good King fish. I forgot the new of the bridge they just finished but the redfish there run crazy. You can also fish the St John's river for small mouth bass.

along with what has already been said, inshore fishing for reds and speckled trout is a big deal in the JAX area

todd,

My in-laws live in Jacksonville and we spend a week or more on the beach every summer and I get to fish. There are some good partyboats out of Mayport, the Mayport Princess. They do a 7AM-4PM trip daily and groundfish. The captain puts you on fish and you never know what you pull up could be a small beeliner or a 50lb amberjack! Not a bad deal for 70 bucks.
