| 2008 Fluke Regs 2008 Fluke Regs State...Min. Length...Daily creel limit...Open Season CT......19.5".........5 fish..............May 24 - Sep 1 NY......20.5".........4 fish..............May 15 - Sep 1 RI.......20" ..........7 fish ..............Jan 01 - Dec 31 Post RI or other states and I'll add them to the list. I just hope they don't close on Sep 1 and then re-open for "commercial" only after the season ends AGAIN! ![]()

| What in the heyday is up with this? RI.......20" ..........7 fish ..............Jan 01 - Dec 31 RI is open 365 days for Fluke?, and the rest of us get cooked, closing on September 1 (which is plain stupid). Considering I port out of CT: CT......19.5".........5 fish..............May 24 - Sep 1 The above aren't really that bad. Yeah, the size is up a bit, but I typically fish RI and NY waters anyway for Fluke, so I have to go bigger anyway. | ||

| LOL believe it or not, of the numerous proposals they considered, the 20" year-round season was the best option "theoretically" (like anyone really knows what the proposals will do to the stock before it happens).

| Don't be surprised to see all the states with the same regs next year as the fedeal regestry includes all species next year instead of just bass. | ||

| I don't limit out on fluke too often so I wish they had kept the lesser size and just lowered the daily limit. Just my thought | ||

| Fishcounterbob, I hear ya. Scup was regional this year and I expect most species to follow. elwell, I'd be happy with a longer season and smaller daily, but that's because I like to fish fluke, starting in May and well into september. They also could have gone with a split limit say 1 under 18" and 2 or 3 over 20". That way more guys would at least get to bring home one for supper. Meanwhile commercials still take 14" fish.
