Women

Three days ago, I had my septic tank pumped out. The following day, my wife asked me if everything was sealed up until the next go around. I replied "yes, why do you ask". She replied there was something she had wanted to put into it. I decided not to say anything at the time, but it just kept nagging at me as to what could she have wanted to drop down into the septic tank. She is a very religious person and I remember she placed a crucifix under the foundation of our masonry fireplace when it was being constructed. However, that did not make any sense in this case; what in the world could she have wanted to drop down into the tank? Maybe a picture of someone who had done her ill in the past? Finally, after another day had passed, it had gotten to me, I just had to ask her. She replied "a rose". I smiled as if I knew why a woman would want to drop a rose into a septic tank and let the conversation go for the time being. It still keep nagging at me, so late that night I just had to ask "why a rose"? "Well all of its life the poor septic tank has to take the worse of what people have to offer, just once in its lifetime I wanted to give it something nice". Women, but you do have to love them!

I know what my wife wants to put in the tank, but trust me I will not go in without a fight.
