| Welcome Aboard : Big Mac Sportfishing Yet another new sponsor has joined the quality ranks of our advertising partners. Captain Jim McFarland of Big Mac Sportfishing has signed on as a sponsor of our community.
As always, when you're in the market for a private charter, make sure you support those who support NBSSportfishing.com, where you can.
Below is an excerpt from their Big Mac's website: The "Big Mac" welcomes you aboard for a truly exciting day of catching Big Cod, Haddock, Pollock and Wolfish or trying to battle with Bluefin Tuna, Sharks and more. The custom 35 foot Big Mac is a rugged Down East style vessel equipped for all your needs. Experienced Captain and crew will make sure your charter is one to remember. Overnight accommodations are available to make your stay very comfortable. Remember "Bring extra coolers for the fish". In over 30 years on Stellwagen Bank we have consistently been a "high-liner" in top catches, have taken several I.G.F.A. and World Records and have won many major tournaments in our area for Cod, Pollock & Bluefish as well as Giant Tuna and Striped Bass. Our customers have won the Governor's Cup for Cod, Halibut and Giant Pollock in the Massachusetts Saltwater Contest many times over the years. Come and be a part of all the excitement!! We are a saltwater sport fishing charter service which operates from Marshfield, Massachusetts, close to Boston and Plymouth. We can take up to six people per boat on our quality Cape Cod Fishing Trips. We have trips to Stellwagen Bank, Cape Cod Bay and other offshore waters within New England. We are a full-time, 7 day-a-week professional deep sea charter fishing business totally equipped to meet the demands from novice to experts. Unlike part-time charter boats, we must consistently produce fish for you. Since this is our only business we depend upon your repeat business and value it highly.

| Big Mac Jim is a great guy and has been in the business a long time. He is moored next to me and both our sons were room mates in college together at Mass Maritime. We help each other out, work together finding fish and I even ran his boat for him last year for a few trips when he was unable.
Now I even have more good numbers for Relentless (THANKS JIM) .
I highly endorse Capt Jim here and welcome him aboard.

| sure welcome the hospitality everyone has shown. we have caught numbers of halibut in the past, but the last two years have been very slow. i think the watewr current flow from the north has caused a drastic change in the enviroment. atlantic halibut frequent bottom tempatures of 48 to 57 degrees. the igfa WORLD RECORD 50 POUND TEST HALIBUT CAUGHT ON BIG MAC in 60 fathoms of water on the south shoal of stellwagen bank.took a live rigged herring, 60 minutes later 2 gaffs and a fanatic captain the monster was landed. official photos, pictures, ans a whole lot of smiles ended the day. the fish made the front page of the herald, patriot ledger and the marshfield mariner. I SURE HOPE HIS BROTHER IS OUT THERE. BEST, CAPT. JIM |
