| NBS SharkFest 2008 : Rules Discussion Well, regardless of anything else, below are the proposed rules for this event. I welcome feedback, however, that does not mean it will be included, only that it will be considered for amendment. We need to have these in a finalized state, no later than 04/30/2008, which gives us plenty of time to debate ad-nauseum: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The 1st Annual NBS SharkFest 2008 Rules:
----------------------------------------------------------------------- So let's here the suggestions. I am sure there will be many more suggestions, and this is just the seed to get this moving. Once nearing finalization, I will formalize and draft the official sign-up form, weigh-in forms, and other tidbits (all of which will be downloadable from NBSSportfishing.com This is a completely non-profit event for NBSSportfishing.com, with all proceeds to be paid to the winner, or, in the event of no qualifying fish entered, to the charity to be chosen later. Does anyone have a basic length>weight chart for Makos & Threshers? I would like to have that available as well. Granted, they are usually low, but let's not kill any fish unnecessarily. | this might help out on estimated weight of the fish. Multiply the square of the girth in inches by the length in inches and divide by 800

| Alrighty then, it's time to get this thing up and rolling. We have a few teams, but would like more. I may edit the rules a tad, to provide some more allowances for the professionals, but it won't be a scenario where every charter counts. A team will still have to be names with the same requirements, but I want to make this open to as many as possible. Sharkfest 23008 is only a few months off now...so let's hear your thoughts. |
