The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is announcing the final rule that authorizes green-stick gear for the harvest of Atlantic tunas, including bluefin tuna, and requires a sea turtle control device in Atlantic Highly Migratory Species pelagic longline and bottom longline fisheries. The final rule also includes a revised list of approved equipment models for the careful release of sea turtles caught in hook and line fisheries.
