    Frances Report...ONGOING REPORT

    November 1st 5pm
Blackfishing good off to a phenominal start today was the report filed from Capt. Mike on the Lady Frances. There were lots of limits and sizes upwards to 11lbs. Everyone on board had a nice bunch of fish to take home. Some platter size Scup were caught and released as well. Our next Blackfish trip is slated for Friday at 6am.
Codfishing produced mixed results today. Just a handful of codfish today with Carlos from Brooklyn getting the best one around 15lbs for the pool. The big news today was that anglers on board were treated to the best SeaBass fishing so far this season. Anglers boated nearly 400 keeper seabass with a fair number of those fish in the Jumbo catagory. Anglers had from a half dozen to 20 seabass apiece. Just a handful of catch and release Scup today. Some slammer bluefish again today with the largest in the lower teens. A few more dogfish around today probably due to all the wind over the past weekend. Next Codfish trip is slated for Friday at 7am.

Blackfishing was red hot on Wednesday. There were lots of limits on big white chin tatoug up to 10lbs with the pool fish again in the lower teens. Fishing was solid all day long and everyone on the boat left with a nice bunch of fish. Looks like we are in store for some great weather over the next several days so we look forward to some very good late fall groundfishing for both Blackfish and Cod/Seabass.

    December 11th.
Capt. Mike reported a good day of fishing. Light crowd of people and plenty of blackfish to go around. A few anglers had their limits and the biggest fish was close to 12 lbs. Keep in mind there are only two days left of blackfishing, Wednesday December 13th and Friday December 15th. Capt Richie reported an excellent day of fishing. An even lighter crowd of people on the cod/seabass boat with 250-300 seabass, a couple of blues mixed in, some red hake and lots of jumbo scup, that had to be thrown back. Quite a few throwback cod, unfortunately not alot of keeper cod, but plenty of action with other species. The weather was outstanding today, Capt. Richie said it was a picture perfect day
