Wow, is it tough! Hunt, hunt, hunt. This spot, that spot. another spot. Reanchor, reanchor. Nothing, nothing, noth---OH, a bite! A few quick keepers and then nothing. Forget a limit. Got 3 today. Talked to a 4 man who were braggin about catching 8. 3 of us got 5 yesterday. Wow! THe tog fishery in our area is in trouble! LIS out of Branford, CT Harbor. On greenies. Water temp 52 degrees. Glad you got some though it is a far cry from last year, even this past spring for us.
Funny how they seem to bite in a flurry and then nothing.

Been finding the same thing at my usual spots this year. Short duration bite, but hot and heavy. Then shuts right off. But I wait it out and it keeps coming back. Patience has paid off, as long as I know I am still on the spot.

Go thru a lot of crabs with this type of bite LOL....lots of bait-stealers inbetween the togs!

I've been fishing 65' the last several trips with great results. (Last month or more).

I only fished shallow back in September.

You may want to try deep out there as well.

Chuck, what are your plans for the weekend? I'm available. Matt can fish also, I think. My nephew Billy (21" Pursuit) is interested. Let's make it a 3 some or 4 some.

Let's do it. You, Matt and I. I've got a ton of crabs also. I can show you some interesting spots.
