    Togs 11/7

Got out today and went to a hump that comes up to 30'-35'. Surrounded by depths 50'+.
Two of us caught 15+ fish. about 1/2 were short and 3 or 4 just keepers that we threw back. Kept four fish, biggest approx 7lbs.
Used green crabs, though we did catch two fish on our only two remaining asian crabs. Fished the last of the incoming and beginning of the outgoing.
Started with 10oz. and had to switch to 16oz. sinkers to hold bottom...not used to that, usually try to get away with 1oz.-4oz. max.
At least we got some fish today as the usual shallow areas have been messed up since the storm.
Wonder if they'll come round before long or if it's long term?

Looks like going deep was the ticket.

I've noticed up here in RI that the shallower spots weren't producing like last year, which is why I went right to my usual deep spot a long time ago, and it's been good, even with the weather blows....the fish have been hanging around down there regardless

Thanks for the tip. Just started toggin' last fall and lots to learn.
Still trying to figure if they hold tight, move around a given piece of structure and how far they wander.
If they do, is it during slack or in the current that pushes them to look for a better spot?
So many questions, so little time to fish. ;)
