    Coxes Ledge 8/1

My son and I went to Coxes Ledge on Monday 8/1 trolling for BFT. Not much life on the east side heading towards the claw with water temps 66-68 degrees.
We reversed course and ended up on the backside of Block. Water temps 70-72 degrees. More life; birds, porpoises, whale.... no BFT but we did, however, catch a 40" mako. It hit a large deep diving Rapala (mackeral pattern). We released it at the boat.....
What a nasty set of "choppers" on them makos....

Thanks for the report. Hope to get out after this coming weekend. Might be time for the dump south to shipping lanes?
    good luck.
