    I got her running good .... Bada-Bing .... <<knock on

Replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter (visible), primer bulb, and new prop. Ran like a champ yesterday (07/03) and was out at The Race (out of Mystic) in no time flat. @ 5000 RPM, she was cruising on glass @ 34 MPH, and that wasn't WOT. IT was amazaing how flat the waters were just N of Race Rock in 300'. There was chop area, with birds working like crazy. Threw plugs while the wife jigged. The only fruit, for 20 minutes of fishing, was a Spiny Dogfish. The worst part is that I didn't have my normal gear for jigging, so the wife hooked that puppy at around 250' on a spinning setup....LOL. She wasn't happy to see it was a doggie after all that.

The water was about 67-68* surface, and bait was down there, along with fish, just wasn't setup to hit it proper.

I replaced the prop cuz the SS one on there was nearly completely spun....all chewed up in the hub and obviously twisting. WAs nice to get that flipped out and now to have the SS rehubbed for the spare.

Didn't get out today, family picnic and all, but hopefully tomorrow afternoon. I'm becoming a pro at the 1.5 hour drive from Canton to Mystic now...since it has been daily for the past week...

Well, I continued to have fuel starvation alarms today, sporadic. So, I replaced the one line I didn't before (tank to F/W separator). Continued the analysis and noted that when I tilted down the motor, from full tilt up, gas came pouring out. Hmmmm.

Anyhow, pulled the carberater cover, and low and behold, one of the carb drain screws was completely out (top left cylinder looking at the plugs). That would explain the alarm issues and primer bulb deflating (flat) as it continued today, since it was always trying to fill the resovoir. Put the screw back in and we'll see tomorrow, but it should be cleared now. God willing.

Well, that leetle carb screw holding the fuel in the well was the ticket. No shit, huh. I am willing to bet I spewed $200-300 worth of gas into LIS over the last week and a half.

Ran all day today, with no alarm and throttle like I haven't had. RPMs went up quick and steady. We were out from around 10:00 A, back at the marina @ 4:00 P. Beautiful day out.

I have got to say, I really like the Mystic area. The boating traffic doesn't seem near as chaotic as Niantic. Granted, I try to steer clear of the masses at most times any way and hunt down my own holes.
