    Togs 10/10

Went out yesterday with two friends.
    Fished the Clinton area.

? Tide: incoming thru 1 hour outgoing
    ? Temp: 64.7f
    ? Depths: ranged from 7' to 25'
? Bait: Asian and Green Crabs

Was pretty slow with sporatic action.
We boat 8 fish with 5 being keepers to 4 1/2 lbs.

Enough for supper but still roughly averaging 2+ fish per rod per trip.

Hoping it starts up like last year soon.

Seems to be off to a SLOWER start than last year, but still decent results I think both in RI and CT.

love those togs! to be enjoyed by veteren fishermen & novices alike. nice to bring guests & put them on fish....even at two keepers per pole. my last trip of 12 keepers was caught largely by two poles with the third a slacker putting only one in the box @ 5lbs....cheers!.......cap'n mick

Hopefully Maggie and I will hit them at least once over the weekend.
She always seems to bring magic onboard....then yells in my direction...

    Good tog bite yesterday

Fished off green hill/ charleston in 43 feet, rockpile, kelp bed. Wind against tide was tough for positioning the boat. Kept 3 fish, ( legal until Sunday, then it goes to 10 ! ). The bite was sporadic, but some nice quality. Biggest was just over 7 pounds, but that was after my first 3 keepers, si I did a lot of catch and release. Total in 4 hours, 12 to 14 keepers above 16 inches, and as many shorts. Kept only the first 3, 19", 19", 23". Green crabs, and a ot of them.
